Field test Fiona passed the
Finnish field test for spaniels on her first try in September 2003, at the age
of 15 monhts. Fiona has always been very keen on game and also fetched eagerly
from the water. Her favourite part of the test, however, seems to be tracking, she loves doing it.
Shows Fiona got her first CC in August 2003, at the
age of 15 months, and the second one in January 2004, at the age of
20 months. She gained her third CC and the Finnish show champion title
in August 2004, at the age of 2 years and 3 months. Fiona was also
BOB then. In February 2005 Fiona attended an international show in
Tallinn, got CC and CACIB, so she also became Estonian Champion. Fiona
has seven CACIBs from Finland as well and the title of
international champion was confirmed in December 2006. In 2007, Fiona won the title of Finnish Winner 2007.
Blood tracking We have tried blood tracking with Fiona ever
since she was one year old. She is quite promising in that sport but her
performance varies a lot. Fiona is very keen on tracking but other scents in the forest
often seem to distract her. Hopefully, this will pass as
she grows older and gains more experience. Fiona did not get a result In her
first two trials (in October 2003 and August 2004) but we intend to try again
someday.
